In today's world of social media distractions are everywhere.

It's a real problem that many people face in everyday life. Whether it's in their career, business, or education, distractions can derail you from accomplishing your goals.

There's nothing worse than feeling extremely busy, yet being unproductive.

The average employee is at work for 9 hours a day, but is only productive for 2 hours and 53 minutes per day. Engaged employees on the other hand are more productive resulting in a 21% increase in profits. (source)

To do more in less time. That's the dream life everyone wants.

26 year old Rene Lacad has done just that. A social media entrepreneur who's generated over $35,000,000, he's accomplished a lot more than most people would their entire life.

This is a story of how true focus can help you shape your life, whether that's building a company, traveling the world, or advancing in your career, the key is focus.

In late 2013 in a suburb of Los Angeles, Rene Lacad had just finished high school with no plans for the future. After attending a local community college for a few weeks, he dropped out.

His single mother - an immigrant from the Phillipines - kicked him out of the house and Rene was forced to grow up fast. He had to figure out what to do with his life.

Without any experience or education, the only job he was able to get was at a local Chinese restaurant where he would wash dishes, making only $8 an hour. He knew there had to be more to life than working 50 hours a week just to pay the bills.

This ambition lead him to a job in car sales. Little did he know this would be the first seed to his success as an entrepreneur.

After dabbling in sales Rene saw his first glimpse of success becoming one of the top salesmen at his dealership. Despite his success, he chose to pursue something more which lead him to apply for a job working for serial entrepreneur and internet marketer Tai Lopez.

Being in an environment with successful people allowed Rene to observe their habits and traits and begin to incorporate them into his own life.

He realized successful people are able to tune out all of the distractions and focus. He noticed productivity and energy are part of their everyday lives. He noticed that successful people operate at a much higher level than others do.

Successful people like Tai Lopez and Rene operate in a state of flow.

After these habits became automatic for Rene, he was ready for the big leagues. He started his own social media marketing agency where he learned another crucial lesson.

Rene's social media company failed. We've all been there. No matter how excited we are about the project, no matter how much research we've done, no matter how hard we work, sometimes things just don't work out in our favor.

But if it weren't for failures we wouldn't have successes.

Rene didn't let this small obstacle stop him, instead he kept pushing and started another business, a small E-Commerce brand where he made his first $10,000 online.

From there he decided to give the Social Media Marketing Agency a second chance, and sure enough this was the one that propelled him to his first million.

His agency has worked with brands like LesRuches, Nanocare, Pso-Rite, Handlelife, and Unlimitter.

Rene took equity positions, started his own brands, and began a career as a public speaker. He currently resides in Miami, Florida where he runs his businesses.

He went from obscurity to 8 figures in the short span of 8 years. Even if your goal isn't to make a million dollars, imagine how much your life can change with extreme focus and motivation.
